A Middlesbrough contact centre that announced a massive recruitment drive says the search is still ongoing for HUNDREDS of staff.
Firstsource Solutions UK said it needed to fill 350 roles back in June – and a further 150 two months later, following big contract wins. It’s already filled 180 customer service agents, team leaders and trainer roles, based at its Fountain Court call centre on Grange Road – and still needs to find at least another 300.
Johnny Auton, site director, said:
“I am delighted that Firstsource’s growing client base means that we’ve been able to expand the number of roles we are offering the people of Middlesbrough. To date, we have been able to recruit and bring on board more than 180 additional employees. We’re also looking for another 300 people to support our continued growth in Middlesbrough over the coming months.
After what has been a challenging period for the region, I am proud that Firstsource is committed to being a part of its regeneration by bringing work back to our local area. We want to give people in Middlesbrough who are passionate about delivering great customer experiences exciting opportunities to develop their careers.”
The contracts secured by Firstsource include a two-year deal with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and another with an unnamed high street bank. Candidates don’t need previous call centre experience to apply for the roles.
