Shamita is a seasoned HR leader with over three decades of diverse experience across human resources, entrepreneurship, and consulting. Her career spans global organizations where she has driven strategic people transformation, combining foresight with strong execution to build agile, future-ready workforces.

Before joining Firstsource, Shamita was the Global CHRO for the BPM business at Infosys, where she held several leadership roles over a 20-year tenure. She played a pivotal role in leading large-scale HR initiatives focused on digital transformation, organizational effectiveness, talent engagement, and culture building. Her career also includes entrepreneurial and consulting experiences, which enrich her approach with a multidimensional perspective on leadership and people enablement.

Shamita holds a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and an undergraduate degree in Mathematical Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She is known for her passion for people, transformation, and building inclusive, high-impact cultures.
