Paul is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in banking, fintech, embedded finance, digital innovation, and technology leadership, having held senior roles at ClearBank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and Nomura. As a pioneer in embedded banking, he has lectured at universities including Cambridge, and his work has set industry benchmarks for how banking products integrate into customer ecosystems. At ClearBank, as Group Head of Embedded Banking, Paul led the company's pivot into embedded banking, defining strategic roadmaps and driving growth across insurance, healthcare, EV, and retail. At HSBC, he held multiple senior roles between 2018 and 2023, including Global Head of Embedded Finance and Banking-as-a-Service, where he built new operating models and go-to-market strategies, and Global Head of Public Sector and Digital Innovation for Securities Services, where he applied AI-driven solutions to streamline processes and led a shift from "project to product" thinking. Paul has also founded multiple technology ventures, including a SaaS logistics platform and an AI-based demand management solution, delivering value to Fortune 500 clients.
