Matthew Barlow

Matthew Barlow leads the company’s HealthPlans and Health Services businesses and brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare operations, large-scale transformation, and global delivery across payer, provider, and digital health organizations. He is responsible for leveraging Firstsource’s AI‑enabled, digital‑first solutions to drive higher efficiency, better member experiences, and stronger clinical and financial outcomes for clients.

A recognized expert in AI-enabled operations, digital transformation, and Global Capability Center strategy, Matthew has architected over USD 15 billion in large-deal sourcing and transformation initiatives. He has helped scale health plan membership platforms and led complex, multi-year mega-deals that unlock significant value for private equity investors. His approach blends commercial rigor, platform-first thinking, and global delivery scale to deliver 30–40% reductions in administrative costs.

Before joining Firstsource, Matthew was Managing Partner, Healthcare Advisory at Avasant, where he led large-deal advisory and digital transformation programs. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at HealthComp and Head of Healthcare BPO Markets at Cognizant and has also held senior roles at Unisys and Teleperformance.

Matthew holds a graduate degree in Political Science from Weber State University. He is a frequent industry advisor and speaker on healthcare operations, global delivery models, and large-scale transformation.
