Who are We

Firstsource began operations in December 2001 as a business process back office in India. Since that time, we have grown rapidly from 50 employees to more than 26,000 employees company-wide. U.S. operations contribute approximately 60% of total Firstsource revenues and employ more than 4500 people across 30 processing centers. Within the U.S., we currently operate in two distinct business verticals, Healthcare and Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI).

The Healthcare vertical serves more than 1,000 healthcare providers and payers nationally and is a respected leader in healthcare revenue cycle management.

Within BFSI, our banking and financial services, insurance vertical, Firstsource partners with 6 of the top 10 U.S. banks and 8 of the top 10 general purpose credit card issuers. Over the years, we have acquired companies to expand our business, carefully selecting companies with goals and missions compatible with Firstsource.

 

  • Firstsource acquired FirstRing Inc. in July 2003 providing credit card service capabilities
  • The acquisition of Account Solution Group in September 2004 gave us broad access to accounts receivable markets as well as to an impressive blue chip client base
  • RevIT Systems, acquired in March 2005, strengthened our transactions processing capabilities and facilitated our entry into the healthcare payer industry
  • Business Process Management was acquired in December 2006 and strengthened our presence in the healthcare industry by providing significant experience and expertise in claims outsourcing and adjudication
  • In August 2007, Firstsource acquired MedAssist that brought us to the forefront of core provider healthcare service
  • Firstsource acquired a portion of Barclaycard's U.S. operations in February 2008, significantly enhancing our credit card servicing capabilities

Rockford, Illinois Service Center:

Maya has been a claims examiner in our Rockford Service Center since Sept 12, 2006. 

One of the reasons Maya enjoys working at Firstsource is the flexible work hours.  "It is invaluable for single working parents like myself who cannot always work within the 9 - 5 schedule many offices observe.   I also like the fact that my job continues to challenge me, as I feel I learn something new almost every day!" 
 

Fort Scott, Kansas Service Center:

Jenni joined the company over 14 years ago. 

Jenni appreciates the flexible work hours and the family atmosphere in the Fort Scott Service Center.  "I really like the flexible hours.  I am able to take a longer lunch break on special occasions to be able to take part in my children's school activities and then make up the time later.   In times of crisis, we come together to support each other.  Your are not just a number in this office, your co-workers really do care."

 

Tabby has been with the company for 9 years.  Tabby likes the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere
as well as the flexible hours.  "I consider Firstsource as one of the best employers around.  The flexible hours make it possible for me to be part of my children's school activities and this would not be possible in many other jobs.  I enjoy the casual dress code that makes for a more relaxed and comfortable environment."

 

Vicki has been with the company about 7 years total.  After 4 years with the company,
Vicki left and went to work for a competitor.  After a year, she came back.  Vicki enjoys the flexible work hours and good relationship she has with her supervisor.  "I enjoy working at Firstsource because of the flexibility that I have in my work schedule.  I prefer to start my workday early in the morning so I can pick my children up from school in the afternoon.  My supervisor, Joyce, is great.  She is very caring and understanding with her employees."

 

Louisville, Kentucky Service Center:

Donna came to work for Firstsource 2 years ago as a Medical Claims Examiner.

She appreciates the teamwork within the service center.  "The friendly staff is the most highly skilled and reliable that I’ve worked with, and they put to practice the truest sense of the word, “teamwork.”  We work together to help each other answer questions and share the workload.  The management team is always available to help us reach our goals and to take care of any issues that may come up.  The IT department also responds quickly to any system issues that may hinder productivity.  It’s a genuine collaborative relationship.  I appreciate that hard work and high quality is expected and rewarded at Firstsource."

 

Joyce has enjoyed the opportunity to work in several different positions

in her 3 years with the company.  "I started in October 2006 as a Medical Claims Examiner II.  A few months later I was promoted to the team lead position.  In September 2007, I was promoted internally to the position of Quality Analyst and in October 2009, I transferred to my current position as Inventory Control Specialist."

 

Lisa started out with the Company as a patient representative and

have been able to move up into a team lead position during my time here. She enjoy being in a challenging position and learning new ways to get the job done more efficiently and effectively. Lisa know that everyday will be a little different and many days she learn something new."

 

Dan Ladewig honestly love everything about my job.

There is not one day that goes by that is the same as the day before. Everyday provides a new challenge that stimulates my knowledge and experiences.

"I want to continue to work for Firstsource because I cannot see myself anywhere else. When I started six years, I was brought on as a temporary employee. I was in awe at the team mentality and enthusiasm that was displayed. I vowed I was going to try to prove that my employment would be beneficial to the Company. Here it is six years later and I enjoy coming to work if not more than, just as much as when I first started."

 

Deborah Ryan have enjoyed my experience working with Firstsource.

"I have excellent managers that I can respect. My manager encourages me to spread my wings and try new things on my projects. There is never a question too large or too small, he takes the time to help and listen.

As a team lead, I wear many hats and I enjoy them all. Firstsource has given me challenges and personal goals and I intend to accomplish them all.
